Ruby Laser Review
The Ruby laser is an infrared laser and was the first laser hair removal system on the market, with roots going back to 1960 it is used for tattoo removal and for hair removal, but are less common for hair removal now.
Pre Treatment
Shave the treatment site to reduce the smell of burning hair and stopping long hairs from getting in the way of the skin/ follicles being treated.
Treatment.
Ruby lasers tend to suit people who have light colored skin and dark hair.
It has the longest track record of all laser hair removal options, however, the technology is old. Newer, quicker to use, lasers are readily available and offer better results for hair removal treatments, however, the Ruby Q switched laser is still used for tattoo removal as is effective at removing black and blue inks.
It works by emitting a pulsed light from a handheld device which is held against the skin to be treated. Once the pulse has been delivered, the operator moves to the next area of skin and the process is repeated until the entire area has been covered.
