The Smart Peel Microdermabrasion System has been designed for skin care specialists and aestheticians who require a safe, smooth, sterile treatment that is reproducible time after time. It has been manufactured entirely ‘in-house’ in the UK since 1999 and is the only machine endorsed by the Aestheticians Pharmacology Research Institute of California. Laser Hair Removal

One in five women in the UK is affected by unwanted facial hair – so you are not alone! The desire to remove excess or unwanted hair, whether through medical necessity or cosmetic preference, is something we are passionate about. Tattoo Removal

Using Active Q-Switched lasers are considered the Gold Standard in Tattoo Removal. The very short pulse of high powered laser light is absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, breaking them down into smaller pieces, enabling your natural immune defences to absorb and disperse the ink. A gradual fading of the tattoo occurs over a series of treatments. Amateur tattoos can be successfully removed in about 1 - 10 treatments whereas professional tattoos require approximately 15 - 20 treatments.

Skin Rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation improves fine lines and wrinkles by tightening the elastin in the skin and stimulating new collagen production. Intense Pulse Light treatment can be combined with mild chemical peels (combination facial therapy – CFT) as a standalone treatment or as a recommended course of 6 to maximise results. Skin rejuvenation can treat an array of skin problems such as large pores, uneven skin tone, sun damage, age spots etc resulting in smoother, youthful, radiant skin.

Acne & Acne Scarring

The Lumina consists of yellow, green and red intense light that is emitted in a series of short pulses. The yellow light emitted by the Lumina destroys the bacteria that live in the skin and cause acne, while the red light directly targets the overactive sebaceous glands that cause outbreaks of pustules. This heating effect of Lumina deep into the skin helps to prevent over-production of excess sebum. Clients may also benefit from combining treatments with glycolic peels to help the sloughing of dead skin cells that block the pores and microdermabrasion for acne scarring. Treatments can be carried out on face, chest and back.

Vascular Lesions (including Thread Vein Removal)

Some vascular conditions are congenital ie at birth or in infancy, such as port wine stains however most are acquired through skin ageing, lifestyle or through sun exposure eg stretch marks, rosacea, Campbell de Morgan spots etc. Most lesions are treatable with Intense Pulse Light or Laser systems but clients may require multiple treatments and may be advised to avoid triggers and to apply SPF 30+ sunblock.

Telangiectasias, commonly known as thread veins, occur on the legs in about 1 in 5 women in their 20s, rising to nearly 1 in 2 of women in their 50s. Leg veins, although small, can pose a significant cosmetic problem to many women, having an adverse affect on body image, self-esteem and confidence. Success of treatment is dependent on the size and depth of the vessel and may require a “top-up” in the future especially if a smoker or a sun worshipper.

Facial thread veins or ‘broken veins’ are fine visible capillaries appearing near the surface of the skin. They tend to become larger and more intense over time, appearing in clusters. Facial thread veins can also be associated with Rosacea and can be successfully treated in 3 to 5 sessions.

Pigmented Lesions

Age spots, liver spots, and freckles are commonly referred to as pigmented lesions and can be successfully lightened or removed with Laser or Intense Pulse Light. Birthmarks and other deeper, larger areas of pigmentation can be successfully treated with a Q-Switch Laser system. All of these treatments are non-invasive, suitable for both the face and body and will result in a more even skin tone.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion gently exfoliates the build up of dead skin cells to reveal younger, brighter, smoother and softer skin. It can be offered as a one-off treatment with no prepping of the skin for those clients with a special occasion in mind, although for problematic skin an initial course of 6 – 12 treatments at fortnightly intervals is recommended. However, as the skin is constantly renewing itself, and as microdermabrasion is a progressive treatment, most clients will return on a regular basis to keep their skin looking its optimum.

Skin Peels

Glycolic acid is a superior exfoliator that sloughs away the dead skin cells and stimulates collagen growth whilst revealing brighter, softer and smoother skin. Glycolic Skin peels are non-invasive, require no down time and are a relaxing facial treatment.  Unlike other peels, new clients can experience the benefits of a glycolic peel immediately without the need for home care preparation by receiving a Regular Strength Glycolic.  After 3 glycolics, the client can experience a deeper and more exfoliating peel with the Maximum Strength Glycolic and for those mature clients with medium to deep wrinkles they can choose the Intensive Wrinkle Reducer Rapid Peel which combines a peel and anti-ageing treatment on one.
