Who should avoid laser hair removal treatment
The hair removal treatment should be avoided by anyone who is:-Pregnant or breastfeeding
Hypersensitive to light
Suffering from vitiligo (skin pigment loss)
Have cold sores in the treatment area
Those whose hair has little or no melanin should look at alternative treatments such as waxing or sugaring. This is beacuse currently we have seen no peer reviewed proof of the effectiveness of dying products used to artificially darken hair to aid absorbtion.
If you suspect an underlying condition be sure to use a clinic with a suitably qualified medical professional such as a Dermatologist who can easily identify issues which may be missed by someone less qualified such as lesions.
Permanent hair removal is not guaranteed. Not everyone has good results and in rare cases even people with pale skin and dark hair still fail to react to treatment.
